O Banco Mundial anda no passo da teoria econômica moderna. Já faz tempo que estão adaptando os modelos de desenvolvimento. O lance agora é teoria de incentivos. Veja o que disse Justin Li, economista-chefe do BM, ao Wall Street Journal:

"Now economists start to understand that for all those things — capital needs to be accumulated, technology needs to be adopted, human capital also needs to be accumulated — you need to understand the incentive, the motivation behind those kind of human choices."
